Bar Refaeli - 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition Cover Girl
Bar is on the cover for the first time. Great photoshoot. No Adriana or Fernanda Tavares this year, but Esti Ginzburg, another Israeli model, is there. In the video for this shoot she says that she is more comfortable this time - her third time in SI - I think it shows in the shoot.
The SI cover is supposed to be the big breakout for rising models. Bar is known in US mostly from her relationship with Leo. Hopefully more campaigns to follow (Victoria's Secret perhaps?). Heard Bar is shooting a fashion program for MTV, something like 'House of Style'.

Kat Dennings - 40 Year Old Virgin premiere
Kat is doing really good recently and getting some much deserved buzz/exposure. It started with 40 yo virgin, Charlie Bartlett and House Bunny. I have to see Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, it came out on DVD last week.
I think she needs to tone down the goth-look/alterna-chick a little, though. It's cute and refreshing, what with all the flood of young blond bland starlets, but it can typecast her in this role.
Kat has 4 new films most of sound good. She works with Lauren Graham and Lisa Ray, whom I like in particular.
